Toby Keith coming to MN State Fair 2014!

 I have to admit something.  Even though I am the biggest country fan, I haven't always loved Toby Kieth.  I didn't enjoy his songs "I Wanna Talk About Me" or "Who's Your Daddy?"  But, over the years he has started to grow on me and slowly but surely I started to like his music.  That is why I am so excited that he is coming to the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand on August 21, 2014!  I can't wait to hear his songs that I do like: "Made in America," "God Love Her," "Love Me if You Can," "American Soldier," and many more!  The MN State fair is one of my favorite places in to see a country concert so I know it is going to be so much fun.  I just bought my Toby Keith Tickets so now I just have to wait two months to see Toby Keith.  I know it will be worth the wait!!!

I'm Back!

Hello everyone!!! This is Kirsten again.  I have been gone for a few years because I moved to Chicago.  But, this country girl is back in Minnesota and could not be more excited to be able to write about country concerts and news again! I hope you enjoy my post and comment on them!

Tim McGraw at the MN State Fair

Exciting news for all my country music fan readers! Tim McGraw will be performing this summer at the Minnesota State Fair. I could not be more excited to hear all his music live in the Grandstand.

The concert is on Wed, Aug 27 2014  at 7:30 PM. I can't wait to hear him perform "Live Like You Were Dying," "Grown Men Don't Cry" and "Highway Don't Care".

Who's Better K102 or Buzn?

Well Twin Cities country fans? Who's better, K102 or Buzn?

To be honest, I love K102. I've loved them since they were the only country music station in the Twins Cities. But now, Buzn came around and I love them too.

It's kind of nice to have two country music stations to flip back and forth to, if one is not satisfying my music tastes.

Luke Bryan Concert Review

I had the pleasure of going to the Luke Bryan concert at the Xcel Energy Center on March 2nd. Let me just tell you, it was awesome.

Our boy Luke Bryan has five number 1 country singles, including the recent “That’s My Kind of Night.” I was also pumped to hear his other hits like "Drunk on You" and "Crash My Party".

I was singing along all night long and I'm honestly surprised the Xcel Energy Center didn't collaspe because every fan was crazy!


I love you, Luke, and yes, you can crash my part anytime you want to ;)

Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley Concert Review

Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley was the hottest country music show in St Paul Minnesota. Who saw the concert live? I loved every second of it!

Miranda Lambert is a four-time Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year. Not to mention she is married to Blake Shelton! She has also won a GRAMMY Award for her hit "The House That Built Me." Dierks Bentley won a 2009 Country Music Television Award for Performance of the Year for his song "Country Boy." He’s had 10 No. 1 singles on the U.S. country charts, most recently "Am I the Only One," "Home" and "5-1-5-0."

I could feel the magic. 

Brad Paisley at the Xcel Energy Center

Okay, I know I haven't posted in this blog in a while, sorry sorry. We fest was great, Tim McGraw at the State Fair was great. But today I'm here to report on something else.

Country star Brad Paisley is returning to St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center this fall on November 16th. This show is Brad Paisley's fourth time playing at the Xcel Energy Center and I can't wait to have him back! Chris Young and Danielle Bradbery will be opening for Brad Paisley. I personally cannot wait to hear some of my Brad Paisley favorites like "Old Alabama" "Then" "Start a Band" "Online" and "Ticks."

Kenny Chesney and Crew at Target Field

Anyone head to Target Field for the Kenny Chesney concert? I didn't - and I am seriously kicking myself after seeing all my friends pictures!! Kenny Chesney’s “No Shoes Nation Tour” with the Zac Brown Band set a Target Field record last week with nearly 44,000 fans attending, who was there??!

It's awesome because in 2012, Chesney and Tim McGraw drew more than 42,500 fans to Target Field for their “Brothers of the Sun Tour.”

I am so envious of every single one of you who were able to attend the Kenny Chesney concert last summer at Target Field in Minneapolis. I know I was kicking myself for at least a month after I passed on my friends invitations because tickets were a little pricey. I should have went to Ticket King! After seeing the pictures, watching beautiful videos, and the constant talk of everyone who went to the concert (and trust me, it felt like every single person was there except me), I know that I must get tickets for this summers Kenny Chesney tour. In my opinion, we haven't had a good country show at the Minnesota Zoo in awhile. However, this is all about to change because Willie Nelson is going to be at the Minnesota Zoo on Tuesday, July 16th at 7:30.
