I'm Thankful for Country Music!

As Thanksgiving is coming up, I can't help but to think of all the things I'm thankful for. And after family, friends and my health, obviously country music is at the top of the list!

Jerrod Niemann's New Single "Lover, Lover"

A few weeks ago my roommate came home and told me about a new country song that she absolutely love and she introduced me to one of my new favorite country songs "Lover, Lover" by Jerrod Niemann. Jerrod Neimann has been releasing songs since 2006 but this was his first top 10 single. Not only does Jerrod Neimann sing he also writes songs for very famous country artist like Jamey Johnson, Neal McCoy, Julie Roberts and wrote Garth Brooks hit single "Good Ride Cowboy." Jerrod Niemann has such a great voice and this song has such a good rhythm and fun lyrics to sing along with I am not surprised at all that it is a top 10 hit. If you haven't heard it yet I highly suggest taking a few minutes to listen to it because I am sure you will love it too!

Toby Keith Coming to Minnesota!

I was searching for country artist that will be performing in Minnesota sometime soon and I was extremely surprised when I saw that Toby Keith will be coming to Minnesota this summer! I have not always been the biggest Toby Keith fan and there was a point in time when I couldn't even stand listening to his music. I got really upset when he started a huge public fight with the Dixie Chicks because they didn't have the same opinion about George Bush. I loved the Dixie Chicks and because of Toby Keith's actions/hatred towards them a lot of people turned against the Dixie Chicks and the pretty much had to disappear for many years. But, in the last few years Toby Keith has won me over with his great music. Some of my favorite Toby Keith songs are: "American Ride," "God Love Her," "She Never Cried in Front of Me," "Love Me if You Can," "Whiskey Girl," "American Soldier" and his newest song "Cryin' for Me (Wayman's Song)." I am very excited that I will finally be able to see Toby Keith perform all of these songs and many more live in concert. The venue or when Toby Keith tickets go on-sale hasn't been released yet but I do know that Toby Keith will be performing in Minnesota on July 16, 2010. Many other Toby Keith tickets are available for purchase right now and I will let you know when Toby Keith tickets will go on-sale for Minnesota!

Country Fest 2010

In three months it will be Country Fest time again!!! In case you don't know what Country Fest is it is a Festival with performances by amazing country artist in Cadott, Wisconsin on June 24-27. If you are a true country fan there is no way you will want to miss out on this awesome weekend! The country artist that will be performing are:

I can't wait to see almost all of my favorite country artist perform in one weekend! The ones I am most excited to see are: Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw and Jamey Johnson. If you have been to Country Fest before please let me know what you though of it.

CMA Awards 2009

I was in my own personal heaven on Wednesday watch the 2009 CMA Awards! First I will start with the performances: The performances this year on the CMAs were amazing and are the reason why this is hands down the best award show on tv. The show was only 3 hours long but they were able to fit in performances by Taylor Swift, Zac Brown Band, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Sugarland, Darius Rucker, Vince Gill & Daughtry, Brad Paisley, Brooks and Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Martina Mcbride, Dave Matthews & Kenny Chesney, Jamey Johnson & Kid Rock and Jason Aldean. I can't even pick out my favorite performances because they were all so great. I did fall in love with Sugarland's new single "Keep You" and Keith Urbans "'Til Summber Comes Around." I was also very excited to see my two newer favorite country songs performed which were Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" and Jason Aldean's "Big Green Tractor." It was also great to see Brooks and Dunn play together for the last time because they have influence the country world so much through out the years and they will be greatly missed. One of the things I really love about the CMAs is that you can see that all the country artists are friends and all excited for each other no matter who wins. It is so nice to see positivity like that at a music award show because it isn't always like that with other award shows. I can't wait for 2010 CMAs
